Yes, I was talking inches. I wasn't aware of how the stopping mechanism worked on these. I'll look into it some more. Thanks for the info.

Thanks for that info, I see what you mean. Protrusion isn't the problem once I plugged that info in.

To the OP..... Was pressure the problem or did you find something else in addition such as damage to the firing pin tip?

I'm going with pressure issue. Possibly after a couple pierced primers the firing pin wasn't helping anything.

Ok..... Did you have to repair the firing pin to eliminate the problem completely? Just wondering the extent of the issue.

As far as the firing pin, it doesn't look terrible, so I'm hoping a little sanding will straighten it out.
