Default Near LAX

Hi all, my wife and I have a few hours in LA on the 19th and 20th.
Not really enough time to rent a car and do any sight seeing, has anyone got any ideas on things to do?

On our return we have a whole day to fill in so will rent a car, what are some things to do to fill in the day?

Kiwi

Peterson Auto Museum (Park Here)
La Brea Tar Pits (across the street - museum is cool)
Academy of Motion Picture Arts Museum (I was there a few weeks ago and they had a Casablanca and Godfather displays, among other things)

Howdy Kiwi:

No clue about LA.

What's your plans this trip?

Good to see you are making another tour.

Safe travels.

Hi George, just overnighting in LA on the way to France for the World Benchrest Champs.

Thanks Eric, is Petersons Auto museum far from Le Brea Tar Pit?

If anyone has some wildcat cases they would sell me for my cartridge collection I would be very appreciative

Looking for any 10, 12, 14, 17, 20 caliber wildcats

Thanks
Kiwi

It is across the street. Park at Peterson's and walk across the street.

Kiwi, also not too far away in Long Beach is the Queen Mary Trans-Atlantic steamer of fame. Very cool tour available aboard the ship if you have time.

Thanks Rick, we will look at that also, the 2nd of October could be a full day since the flight for NZ leaves at 10pm.
Tire ourselves out so we sleep on the flight…..kiwi

Enjoy France.

Hope you have at least a week to play tourists.

There's a whole lot to see most anywhere in France.
Make half day or more for the Louvre. if you get to Paris.

Where's the match going to be? Not having plans, or English
translations I missed a bunch.
Actually ran out of things I wanted to see as I didn't know they were there.

Enjoy, and hope your lady wins!

Helen isn’t shooting this trip, she is playing tourist with the American and Canadian ladies.

We did the louvre in Paris last time we were here and had dinner up the Eiffel Tower and a boat cruise, plus many other things last time we were here.
This time we are down around Châteauroux……kiwi

Kiwi: If able or maybe you already have, take the time to go up to the Normandy area and view the beach landing areas and the Allies grave sites and some old relics still being kept up. Very sobering.
