YES! Thanks Bill.

When I was going by there on the train.

I had no idea those places were there.

What a shame to have missed them.

Yes a shame you could not stop and look around that whole area. I spent one day each time ( two times into Europe/Eastern portion) at Normandy and those grave sites. Glad I did at the time.
And other sites all around Belgium, Italy, France and even the Basque areas in and around the Spain/French border. ( Andora mostly)

When were you there Bill?

I could have spent a week there only if I'd known it.
Aug '72.
I did visit Brussels and the north coast, Dover & beach,
museum on top of bluff. Also ate on top the Eiffel Tower.

Had no clue what was in the Louvre, stood on the sidewalk
in front wondering what was in there,
Old train station was still active then.
Walked around much of Paris. Top of Arc was closed.

first trip was in 66, second in 71. Spent five weeks each trip over. Visited relatives in France, rented a car and drove all around those places.
Stayed in either hotels or some camp sites.
Had cousin, that live in Blaine-France with the wife and i as a guide, etc.
She translated, when we did not understand some things, especially in Spain, as she spoke other languages. Made for a very nice time.
We took in some of the major attractions, and a lot of the lesser known one's all over those areas. Good food, light eats and good drink in numerous places.
