Default 204 ruger and tac powder loads.

I picked up another pd of Tac today. I want to try it with some 35gr Berger or 40gr Berger. Is Tac a good powder for 204? I use RL10 and H4895 mostly. But seen this for 23.00 today . So I picked it up. I loaded a few tonight to see how they group. Thanks

You should be at a good burn rate for the .204 especially with the 39-40 grain bullets. I only use 8208 any more but TAC is just a smidge slower so it should work well.

I use TAC in both my .204's - one uses 27.2 grains and the other is 27.0 grains, both with 40 grain VM's.
Good velocities and clean burning ( a must for high volume prairie dog loads ).
I can't recall the velocities off the top of my head but both are in the 3700 + fps range ( 26" barrels ).

I loaded up 40 gr Berger and Tac. I think mine was 27.1 gr I used. That load shot very well out of my 204 also.
