No real reason, I just don't care for cast bullets.

LOL! That's about like saying you don't like (pick a sex act) 'cause you never tried it. Oh well, to each his own.
Anyway, if you have any interest in trying some powder coated cast bullets, sized to whatever you wish, shoot me a PM. Also wondering, how do you deal with headspace? Photo of the barrel looks like the chamber is cut for .45 AR. How do you shoot .45 ACP? With the .45 Super being longer, how does that work? And, how do you "adjust" the trigger on that kind of rifle? |

Powder coated bullets are exactly that. cast bullets powder coated. It totally encapsulates the bullet and serves as the bullet lube. A bullet can be smashed and the coating stays bonded. No leading is not an issue at all.
Hardness isn't effected or minimally if any (their baked for just a few min) Factory companies are also using similar coatings like federals syntech. In short you get all of the pro's minus any negatives. One could say the old Nyclad's were of a similar design. Generally cast is more accurate if properly sized. I'll let dungheap comment on his selection of bullet weights. |

Darn! I had a long response typed up and lost it!
I have pistol and rifle molds 180 grains to 500 grains, nothing made up in advance. If you'd like to pursue this, continue the conversation or PM me. The curiosity hook is set on my end. |

Well then, I would like to try a couple of your .45 caliber bullets. Please.
I won't be picky, and would like to try any bullet weight from 230 gr. to 250 gr., you pick what you think the best style and weight would be. My bore/groove diameter is .4410/.4510 and here again, I would have to ask that you pick the diameter you think best, as I have no idea. |

I'm curious on the powder coated bullets. Were you able to recover any of them and what was the state of the powder coating if you did? I wonder if the powder coating affected the engagement in the rifling or???
