Default Scope question ?

Thru the years scopes have been coming available in higher and higher magnification 50X maybe more.

Can magnification that high see thru mirage better than a 20 + power ? or is there more soup to look thru ? Thanks.

Comments please.

I would say the more power, the more you will make out mirage/distortion waves. But you will or can learn to read them. Bill K

Default Scope Power

Redrock,
F-class shooters use the highest magnification they can and still see the target clearly, this does allow the ability to see the mirage so they can use it as a tool to judge the wind. A lot even adjust the scopes focus sothe target is slightly fuzzy so they can see the mirage better to make the wind calls for hold offs etc.
