I use 1680 in my 17 hornet w/ 20 Gr. Vmax, and have for a number of years.
Excellent velocity, and accuracy. I would like to try it in my finicky 17 fireball. Have not seen any 1680 load data for the fireball, although data is for 221 fireball is published. if anyone here has experience with 17 fireball and 1680, I would sure appreciate your results. Thank you for reading Chuck Sure enjoy this site |

It looks too fast of a burn rate for a .17 FB

I tried alot of different load combinations with my Fireball and even changed the barrel til I found a load with benchmark and 25 gr bullets that worked.

You could probably work out a load on Quick Load, but I agree with moorepower, to me that is too fast a powder to give optimal results in the 17 FB. I load Lil'Gun, which is even faster in the 221 FB with 40 and 50 grain bullets, but 17 is a LOT smaller diameter bore with the same case capacity. I would go Benchmark too, anything faster, like 4198 didn't produce good accuracy or top velocities for me.

I agree with Herb, h-322 and a 20-25 gr bullet with CCI 400 and you have a winning combination.
