Dan, I have never had a reason to suspect the primers. That might just be the answer. But, I have seperated those brass that had fliers and reloaded them again. Never did have them shoot into a group like the rest of any batch of reloads. When the shortages came along on primers, I had a chance to buy CCI small rifle primers. So since that was the only game in town, that is what I have shot for the last half dozen years.

Once I used the process of elimination to get to tiny groups, I found that weighed cases within 1 grain of each other, gave me the results I wanted.

One other thing I do is FL resize, then neck size. By doing the sizing in that order, I have reduced the run out almost enntirely. My loads are all for varmint hunting and tiny groups bring me joy.
