Default Aussie Needs Help

http://youtu.be/LcBNMFjadlg

This video is a member of our federal Parliament giving a speech on a subject I think some here may find upsetting.

I was appalled by how a fellow Shooter was treated y by a Multinational American company.

hello guys. I know this isn't a political forum but we ask for your help as we Aussies have no constitutional right to own firearms and every time there is a gun crime the licensed law abiding shooter gets drawn into the negative press and the threat of gun bans is ever present.

The 7 shot Adler lever action shotgun has been deemed a prohibited import as it is a dangerous "rapid fire" weapon.

Dave Waters got sacked by Goodyear as he met a fellow shooter in the basement carpark as she wanted help with a new accessory (we dont know what it was) she brought her rifle and pulled it out of the car boot. It was unloaded, bolt out. No laws broken, he told her to put it away but a passer by saw and called the police.

16 of them responded and arrested the two licensed shooters. Over reaction much?

released as no offence was committed but Goodyear sacked Dave. He has represented his country in shooting sports and been at Camp Perry.

Goodyear said he brought their brand into disrepute.

We have had a gutful of being vilified by the press and this issue is one too far. Thru forums and social media we are urging shooters and their friends and family to boycott Goodyear until the apologise and re instate Dave.

We are a little blip on their global radar screen and would love our fellow (powerful) American friends to let Goodyear in the US know that this is poor form and should be addressed.

Hope you can help

It only takes a minute to go to Goodyear's Facebook page and post your displeasure with the way they treated Dave. It may not change anything, but if I had just been fired, I'd sure appreciate the support.

Do you have contact information other than FB? Something like an email address that would be read by the people that need to see it? I am just not a FB'r.

Default Goodyear Contact

I started at Goodyear.com They have a "Contact Us" button at the bottom of the page. Go there and you can find a number to call or use their e-mail form, probably under the "Global Communications" category.
