Default Hornady 218 bee brass

I see 218 bee brass in Hornady's 2017 catalog. I wonder how long before it's available?

I was always surprised that Starline never produced this one as they already make 32/20 and 25/20

What's that buzzing noise I hear??

Did Eric talk to anyone at Hornady?

Now ya went and done it! I'm thinking I'll take a spare CZ 223 heavy barrel and rechamber it for the 218 Bee... Hmmm or maybe it'd better match the 17&20 CZ Killer Bees if I made it a 22 Killer Bee??? But then I'd need a new shirt!

thinking about Hornady making the 218 Bee stuff made me remember back in the early 2000 time frame where Daryl wrote about his (sometimes controversial) results using Lilgun and 40 gr bullets and getting 223 velocities (like 3700-3800 fps always stating in the string action Ruger #1).

I had to buy a 218 Bee #1 myself just to see how it could Bee. Daryl should be ashamed of himself. Here I was with 6 young kids and a $35k year job. Not sure how I did it but somehow (probably sold off a few tools) scraped up the entire $690 and ordered one in.

My results about mirrored his and the best thing about it was getting to try it out on PDs on that first Saubier PD shoot.

Never once regretted getting that 218 Bee! It the custom 17 Killer Bee I got here from ML.

Bring on a swarm of the Bee brass!

I've never seen Starline .25-20; just a special run I guess? Yes, It would be wonderful if Starline would make both the .25-20 and .218 Bee, even better if they offered a .32-20 basic case long enough to leave a little to trim once down to .218 or .17. I've been on Jamison/Captech for the same thing, they made a bunch of .25-20 SS basic cases as well as .300AAC/.300/221 Basic cases, just need them to add the WCF to the line.
