Default 204R site ??

Anyone know what happened with the 204R.com site ? Starting yesterday, I keep getting Site not secure, and noticed it could be hacked or something.
Anyone else have the same issue ? Bill K

It looks like their security certificate has expired. Its a money thing like buying a new license for the next year.

Apparently the owner of the site slipped up and forgot to renew. Money cures all ills like this one..........

Thanks for the info BCB.. thought maybe it was something with my PC or virus protection/fire wall. Hope they get it back up, like that site, along with this one and others. Bill K

It could be you.......... Check the time and date on your computer. If they are both correct, its probably them.

IIRC, this happened one year when the site was fairly new.

Bill K:

You can still access the 204R site. When the security certificate bulletin comes up, there is an option to get to the site, but not recommended.

I noticed the expiration of the certificate and the site being wounded, but am still able to log on.

I'd be very careful bypassing the security that your web browser has in it to protect you. It may be nothing but a simple error on the part of the web site owner, or it could be that the site is/has been hacked by someone else and they're fishing for data.

No site is worth flying blind on in today's world, IMO. YMMV...............

Unfortunately, like some other forums, it seemed to get hacked fairly often.

That is one item, by PC says, someone could be phishing the site and my PC for info. Will not bypass the security code/mode. Just wait it out and see if it comes back on. Bill K

That's probably the best plan. To me, no web site is so important that I need to see immediately if anyone liked my latest post......

Its probably just a web site owner slip-up, but its worth waiting to know for sure versus the headaches it might cause you if its not just a simple oversight.........

Agreed.

Until it comes back to life properly, best to stay away. The net is dangerous enough without adding to potential woes.
