Default 6x47 Lapua Varmint

I know this isn't exactly a "small caliber", but I feel like since its a groundhog/coyote/prairie dog rifle build some of you may appreciate it! I have a 1-10 twist shilen select match on the way I'm going to put on a savage target action. Hoping it will accompany my 20 practical well for anything that it can't reach. I'm wondering if any of you have any experience with this cartridge with 75gr-88gr bullets. I have a great supply of varget, some h380 and some IMR 4350 which gives me some options. Let me know what you think.

My 243 Winchesters like the 70gr Sierra Blitz Kings for small varmints, and the 85gr HPBT Game Kings for heavier targets.

Closest I have to your 6x47 is my 6mm Creedmoor with 20in. 9tw Proof CF barrel. I shoot 70gr Nosler BT's in that with RL16 and it stacks them in to tiny little groups and I couldn't be happier with it. Also have a 6-284 with Lilja 26in 12tw and it shoot 75gr Vmax just as well.

Of the powders you have I'd probably try Varget first.

I have a 6x47L in a 10 twist with I think a Kreiger barrel. I got it for long range target shooting and have to use 95 gr bullets or smaller. I shoot Bughole 95s and Sierra 95 Gr Match Kings. Thankfully it LOVES the Sierras with RE15 I think, I also use H4350. I don't think I've tried many other lighter bullets or other powders though. You might want to try the 87 Vmax.

I shoot 70gr Sierra Blitzkings @ 3700 fps. in my 6x47 Lapua with 43.5gr of Reloader 17. Not very fur friendly but pretty spectacular aerobatics on prairie poodles.

Try 38.6 grains of Varget behind a 75 gr Hornady VMax

I was getting 3750fps out of mine
