6000 birds a year killed in California
Read a news report this morning that the one large solar plant in the Mojave dessert In southern California, ( in their words, accidently ) kills 6000 or more various species of birds each year, due to the heat/light rays it creates.
Now if one Condor killed by ingesting lead from a dead animal, that was supposedly shot by hunters, caused a lead ban in the state, to protect birds i.e. Condors/raptors, they when is the state going to ban solar power and the side effect of it killing over 6000 birds each year ?? Want to bet, they will not blame the solar authorities for killing birds, like they blamed hunters/shooters and banned these solar panels and sites. Google up the news on this and also read about other animals being killed in relation to this solar site. I just can not load photo's on this site. If anyone wants to read or load a copy of the news report, for me to add, give me a email and I will send a copy to use. Thank you. Last edited by Bill K; 02-19-2021 at 04:10 PM. |

You notice that not much is said about all the birds that are kill with the wind mills. The speed at the tips of those blades is very fast.

They are not going to be satisfied until there is no more animals to hunt or kill, no more farms, farmers or farm hands and no more real Californians,
The windmill bird strikes are probably worse by thousands more, at the wind FARMS LOL (these guys will name anything to make it sound earthy and earth friendly) along the roads where they can be readily seen people are employed to keep the dead birds picked up. Wonder what the state will look like then, probably charred to the rubble left after the last super fire |

In this country/Province, it's the eagles and geese that get it the most.
& yes- the tips are moving at a good rate.

Recently, on a day I must not have had anything better to do I calculated the speed of a wind turbine at the blade tips. Don't remember what it was but do remember thinking it was not wonder birds can't keep out to the way.

Don't even consider how many lives are lost "every day"due to abortion, in some cases, used as birth control.
Folks killed by drunk drivers? They don't count either. Kinda thinking it's all political but who knows for sure. More like, "follow the $$$"?? Last edited by Nor Cal Mikie; 02-19-2021 at 07:35 PM. |

I was watching Fox news yesterday and got a good chuckle when one of the commentators said something to the affect, yeah when the power goes out at a Hospital or wherever, it's pretty hard to run out and turn on their windmill and wait for it to start producing power, no, they flip on the diesel powered generator for an instant power source.
