Default Quarter bore...

It always pleased and amused me, when Popular Sports did an article on the long range guns in PA. they had the .30/378 Weatherby as the big one then, I think; BUT they would admit that if the wind wasn't blowing they would bring out the .25/'06's to compete with at around 1,000 yards.
Mr. Ackely did interesting things with the .25 Krag, .25 Short Krag, and the .25 Super short Krag, reported in his books, and rivalled the .25/'06 with the .25/35 Imp, modern powders, and bullets up to 100 grains in 20 inch barrels of Winchester 94's and 64's... Amazing. Happy Trails.

My memory would be a little foggy, but before Graf brought out brass for the Swiss, I thought guys were forming it from .284 WW brass? I ended up buying 100 pc of Norma for my K31 before Privi was making it. What is your planned carnage or is it for punching paper?

I saw at least one other post calling out a Ruger #1V in 25-06. Great gun, great cartridge. This is mine.
