Default 15.5 gr NXT for 17 Mach IV

Looking for load data for the new Hornady 15.5 gr NXT bullet for the 17 MK IV. I was wondering if I started at the low end (14.2 gr) for the 20 gr using RL7, would be a safe place to start working up a load?

You can do that and/or use the 17 fire ball load data and work up with it also.

In my 17 Hornet and the CZ 527 American, 11.2 of 4227 and 12.4 of 1680 and the 15.5 NTX are shooting groups touching each other.
A friend is getting very small groups with 12.2 of CFE BLK in his 527 Varmint barrel CZ. BIll K

Very explosive.. Shots I have taken and hit things from say 70 yds out to around 200, did the job, so far. Bill K I should add, that small squeeks open up, larger critters entrance, but no exit, explode inside, from what it looked like.
