If you are interested in the latest coming out about the plant and fire. There is some info re: it and what the owner is saying, on the main page of Accurateshooter.com It is quite possible we will never see Pac-nor being rebuilt. Bill K

Even if they rebuild with new machines, it will take a long time for them to get back the quality that they had before.

Default Glad the nine people got out....

So very sad, some of the older equipment is from WW2 era and irreplaceable.
A lifetime of good work up in smoke. One of my first choices for barrels.I will miss having them as an option. Was getting ready to rebarrel to a 19 caliber
XP-100,such a shame.I sure hope they rebuild,at 66 I understand if Chris doesn’t,however it could be done if he chooses.

Machines like Pratt & Whitney gun drills and rifling machines. Very, very specialized machine tools unless in very large shops. The article said $5-6 million in machines and manufacturing stock.

A fire that hot there won't be anything other than scrap iron

to salvage. Major ordeal for all of them. Wish everyone the best

in getting thru it.

Perhaps he has some employees who would be interested in rebuilding/buying the business.

Very sorry to hear this. Pac-Nor was a tremendously well run business that turned out at truly superior product. If he had that much money tied up in the business cash in pocket and retirement might be looking pretty good right now. He has been at it a long time.

I too hope he rebuilds once the shock wears off. He will be sorely missed if he doesn't.
