I don't shoot the 55 grainers. But have tried and they do well, some of Badger Bob's 46.5 grain. But with the lead free law now, here in California, I am sticking to the 32 grain lead free Nosler's and Hornadys. They are doing as well and are very accurate for me on squeeks, rock chucks, rabbits and coyotes. Bill K |

I would have to go with my Remington 722 in 6X47, 24" Douglas Premium heavy sporter barrel and mounted in a 700 BDL stock & bottom metal. My 722 now wears a 5X15X50 FFP Burris Veracity scope.
I am now shooting the Nosler 55 grain lead-free over Win 748, for many years I shot the Sierra 60 grain HP that was super accurate and very efficient killer. elalto |

Remington 700 titanium, 20 br shooting 40 gr v-max or 39 gr sierra's, 4.5-14x40 Leupold. 6.5Lb, I am getting old and carry a rifle more than I shoot one.
or Remington 700 titanium 22-250 AI 1-9 twist pac-nor ss fluted barrel shooting 65 gr sierra's as a do it all 6.5 Lb rifle, varmint or deer. 4-12 Leupold .

1-10 and they were over 4000 if my memory serves me right but I haven't shot the rifle in 10 years. I will look them up and let you know. the load I shoot was not a max load, just because you can go fast doesn't mean you have to.

That's a hard one. A 17-204 would my first choice, but a Kimber Montana in 17Rem or the same in 204, both of which I own.

tough one...I'd say a .223AI with a 16-18" light palma 1:8, threaded for a suppressor throated for vld's at 2.45". Manners or mcmillan stock, DBM with AICS mags on a tikka or sako action.
It could shoots .223 remington factory ammo, 53's loaded hot, and you could still get away with 75-80's if you wanted to stretch it's legs. Jack of all trades master of none. |

Years ago this was me and mine was a ren 700 in a 22-250 which is now a 20B. Looking back it was a good choice for me maybe the best from then until now.
But since this is only a bad dream I’m not going to entertain the thought of only one gun lol

Very tough decision.....
If I had to liquidate down to one of the guns I already own my Bat SV in 20 Duster with the 27” PAC-Nor micro fluted varmint weight barrel and Shehane,Tracker by McMillan would be staying as it is great for pd’s and chucks,
I would struggle with the weight and stock for called in coyotes. If I was building the perfect gun from scratch for calling and occasionally shooting pd’s it would probably be a McMillan Sako Varmint stocked model Seven in 20 Tactical 22” barrel. This topic is fun to read and think about, but after awhile my head hurts, then I start thinking I need to build another gun Matt
