Yeah, Who's Badgerbob? And anyone have any experience with Reed's 29gr BT bullets?

And the fellow's story that posted on Predatormasters doesn't EXACTLY square with the two phone conversations that I've had with Todd in the last couple months. Similar in some respects, but not exactly. WD

Was kind of hoping - and it's based on absolutely nothing but "hope" - but kind of hoping Todd still had a big stash of J4's that went with his dies and we'd have the "old Gold's" around for a bit longer.

Have no reason to believe it is so, was just hoping...

Between the 30 Gold's I still have, the Genco's, the old-old Berger Match (pre Spiveco), the Starke's and the Nagels, plus whatever I'm forgetting at the moment, I probably have enough on hand to keep killing coyote with them the rest of my life. Certainly long enough to finish wearing out the current barrels I'm using.

But, I would sleep better knowing I could get more, if I ever needed to .

Hey, Dave, just sit back, smoke a cigar, sip a little good whiskey, and I bet you'll sleep just fine....

Any chance in conning Tim into becoming a bullet maker?

I wish I could make these, yet for the price of the components the bullets were likely produced at the point of r'(x) = c'(x) or even at a point that was somewhat r'(x) < c'(x).

As the saying goes, "It takes a village."

So, unless I could charge a high initial price for the product, and sell the required number to reach the point where it would be possible for r'(x) = c'(x), then it is uneconomical to make them, which may be why so many who do this for a few years and then quit.

Impressive chit......... Econ 301F...?

Maybe bullet makers just get tired of making bullets after they couldn't find cores. I still think you're the best option, especially after this economic analysis. If anyone can make it work, it's obviously you...

Yep, Gregory Mankiw and Taylor. http://introductiontoeconomicpolicy.weebly.com

Nope, not me, I'm insufficiently backed for such an endeavor, so I'll stick to searching the forums for the 30gr BTHP Kindler golds.

If you all want to peruse this further, I suggest that you start with a call or email Berger's Tech Support team at TechSupport@bergerbullets.com or call their Tech Line at 714-441-7202 M-F 8am to 5pm EST.

The J4 jackets are the lynch pin of this problem.
