With the .254 neck you should be good with Lapua no-turn. With 1680 & 40 v-Max I get good loads in the 3,550 - 3,650 fps range. Both of my Dakotas like the hotter side & give me consistent .2 - .3 groups. The PD's don't like those rifles at all

I also went with a 12 twist in my 221FB and it shoots the best with the Hornady 53gr. V-Max, IMR4198 powder and CCI 450 magnum primers. I was really surprised at what a difference the 450 primers made, cut about .2 off my groups.
