drew you are defiantly leaving some velocity on the table with the 20 gr vmax.
looking back at the article published in vha in issue #55 July 2005 you will see that the cartridge was capable of 3830 with a hornady 25 gr hp and 4130 wit 20 gr strake bullets. I like you slowed the bullets down to minimize destruction of pelts on gray fox, about 3650 seemed to be just right as most of your shots with called grays will be frontal shots. I did shoot a fair amount of coyotes with the viper with the same results you would get with a 17 fireball or mach 4. still one of my favorite cartridges to shoot, cheap to reload, low report and kills like lightning. I also have a mach 4 but love the viper long neck.
