Default Current HM2

Has anyone shot any of the recent new production HM2 ammo, and how does it shoot compared to the older? Now that they are periodically running ammo again, I was thinking of having a barrel for the HM2.
Thanks,
Drew

I don't know about the new Hornady manufacture but I had some of the old original bricks and it was considerably hotter than Eley or Remington. Fast forward a few years and still hot. Also the accuracy in a CZ, a couple Annies and a Ruger 10/22 I converted to 17HM2 was what I would call substandard.
Having said that, if and when I run out of my Eley and Remington ammo, all those rifles will either be rebarreled or sold.

I don’t know but I have 4 bricks of the new stuff coming. I know that the new brass is supposed to be made so it won’t crack in the neck.

I’m still have the wants for an HM2 pistol.

If you have any of the old ammo do the push test to see if the bullet will push into the case. CCI Rem and Hornady you can feel it let loose with a pop. For some reason the eley just is a push with a drag when the bullet goes into the case.

Gary:

Where and how much$?

I'm down to 4 1/2 boxes and would like a better
stock. Never know when new neighbors will dump
a bunch more cats out around here.

Grafs has it for about 9.00 a box. I am trying to watch the situation for availability too. Hoping they run it regularly now.

Gary:

Mighty hard to beat that price anywhere!

$9/50 is way steep imo. I refuse to pay it.
Cheaper to shoot the VR.

Thanks for the replies and info.
