Default h.s precision or bell& carlson for cz 527

need to hear from those who have them or have an opinion. I have found both for a varminter.
i'm guessing from my own experience quality falls on the side of h.s. but it seems B&C has come a long way over the years.
thx

Default Trying B&C

Just went through the same debate, did end up ordering a B&C but has not arrived yet. It was about 150 less to my door that the HS stock would have been.

I have one hs and two b&c and like you said the hs does feel a little fat compared to the b&c. They are both get stocks but the two rifles I have the b&c stocks on shot very good and if i had to choose I would go with the b&c.

I'm still having no luck finding a replacement for my 527 American, do both these stocks come in the sporter weight barrel profile?

If so and anyone has a second hand one for sale please shoot me a message

Johno

Have an HS on my .17 Hornet and a BC on my 19 Badger. Both are outstanding stocks but I prefer the BC stock... Jaybird

The only B&C stock I have is the light tactical, but I much prefer my HS Precisions over that one. Just my 2 cents worth.

I have a CZ Kevlar Varmint (+10 years old), which came from factory with the HS Precision stock. Also, I purchased a B&C stock for a different CZ build. Both stocks are almost identical in appearance and dimensions. Between these two stocks the finish on the B&C is better. That said a new HS Precision stock may differ from my older version.

Both of my rifles are outfitted with varmint weight barrels. I don't notice any major difference in rigidity... there is only so heavy of a barrel that you can put on the mini mauser action.
