Has anybody tried the 26gr. Barnes Grenades in their .20 VT. If so what is your recipe & fps. Thanks!! Dave I've got some plans this weekend for this combo.

Can't tell you about your gun, I have shot them in my 20 Swift and got over 4,700fps, surprised me that they were as accurate as they are for a non-lead bullet. Let us know what you find. Larry

Smile 26 gr. Barnes .204 bullets

They have some very short elongated lines on them. I've never looked at any NTX bullets before. Thinking of trying them with some R-7,H-4198 or maybe V-120 this week. Larry is getting 4700 fps. out of his rifle, very impressive and accurate. For $14.95 let's give em a try. Dave

I bought a thousand NTX's 24gr for my Vartarg a while back just because they were a good deal. Haven't had a chance to try them yet Still shooting 35gr bergers up ! I will post some results when I get around to using them.

Don't know about the 26gr. in the Vartarg (thats next), but the 36 gr models shoot as good or maybe even a little better than lead in the K Hornet. Five shoot groups in the 2's for both lead and non-lead seems to be the norm. Hopefully the Vartarg will work out as well. I believe Nosler makes a 20 cal. which is just a little heavier which may also be of some interest.

Nosler makes a 32gr flat base ballistic tip non lead bullet that has a better BC than their lead 32gr BT ballistic tip, I have been wanting to try some in my 20 Swift but have been unable to find any. Larry
