Default 22 Hornet + Trailboss?

Has anyone played with this combo, 40-45 grain bullet?

I had a good "cat sneeze" load worked up with a cast bullet in my Savage, which I swapped off for a CZ. It ran about 1030-1050 fps, MOA or better, good penetration with the 50+grain gas checked bullet.

I need coyote medicine for 75 yards and under, plus being quiet. Still in the country but a city limit now One neighbor if out side may get excited, the rest could care less as I do. Matter of fact, a 250 yard range that has berms is grown over with brush and trees now.

+1 on the SR4759 for with 40 or 50gr bullets. I have also tried 50gr Blitz with 12.5gr AA2200 (full case), chronographed at 2100fps, and right at 0.5" for 5 at 100yds. it had a very dull sounding report, and was about 1-1.5" below my normal POI. Interesting load.

Tried 4759 but found it still pretty loud. Can't beat Trail Boss for quiet loads in the 22 Hornet. Starting load I used was 2 grains, Fed small pistol primer and a 40 grain Vmax. The 50 grain SPSX Hornady works well too. They were doing about 900 FPS. You can easily get them over 1200 but you get the sonic crack. I like them under a 1000 fps.

I use those in the .221 FB at reduced (950fps) speeds with TB, not sure how they will act meeting a coyote at 75yds?

Also I get a bit of blow by from the cases not sealing due to the extremely low pressure.

I’ve been using 3.0-3.5 gr of titegroup with either the Remington 45gr or Speer 40gr with a 6 1/2 cap. Minimal expansion but very accurate. Has accounted for a few called in coons with minimal pelt damage.
