Screaminweasil,
Send that trigger to Lee Shaver and have him do his magic on it and then you will really be smiling. He does great work, quick turnaround and reasonable prices. IIRC the last one I had done was $35 and 10 days from the time I shipped it until I got it back. leeshavergunsmithing.com trigger removal - http://www.bpcr1885.net/trigger-work/ drover Last edited by drover; 12-29-2018 at 05:30 PM. |

I think a full case of Lil Gun shoots well in any Hornet. I REALLY want one of these in .17WSM. I am a little concerned about accuracy in WSM however. What an elegant gun!

My first .22 Hornet is where my small caliber affliction started, it's an Anschutz 1730. Second in fairly short order was a Cooper Montana Varminter in .22 K-Hornet, with that one I was gut hooked . Having zero willpower and no impulse control whatsoever can be a real dangerous thing when ya first discover small calibers.....Or not . Then a .17 MachIV, .17 Ackley, .20 Tactical. .20 Vartarg, a couple more .22 Hornets and another K-Hornet...gets kinda muddled from there but it was like having "rifle rabbits" living in the gun safes, they just kept multiplying.
Seeing how your Browning 1885 Hornets shoot guys and how great they look, if I ever see one in a gun shop or at a gun show I hope I don't sprain my wrist going for my wallet . Now look what you guys went and done to me. Seriously though, great thread and great pics, thanks for sharing guys! As Dave here use to say. "Never let the money ya don't have stand in your way of buying something ya don't need!"

Don't you guys know 2-piece stocked rifles are not suppose to shoot that good? J/K
Awesome rifles & proof the Hornet can stack 'em in there! |

Got me looking at all of the auction sites. I always have liked the 1885 and have had several 22 hornet bolt guns. The Tanner Gun Show will be close by in a short time!

Congrats on the new Xmas present! It's a beauty.
I've got it's big brother. This one is chambered 22-250 and it too shoots very well and isn't real picky about it's diet.

Thanks to all for sharing in my excitement.
RIO.........you helped plant the seed, I've admired your low wall "K hornet" for some time now. Doug...you better practice your "quick draw", dont wanna go off half cocked reaching for that wallet. Last edited by Screaminweasil; 12-30-2018 at 05:40 AM. |
