Default .14/221 load data help

Just about finished building a .14/221 Eichelberger and I can't find a copy of the Eichelberger load data book anywhere. Would anyone please help me out with a minimum starting load (and max)? I've seen somewhere that Lil gun is a good powder to use but I would greatly appreciate suggestions. I've got 12.7 gr solids and 15 gr jacketed bullets with Lapua brass. Any and all help will be greatly appreciated!
If anyone has an Eich load data book you are no longer using let me know and I'll buy it from you.

Thanks in advance, Rick

If I recall correctly a board sponsor, Reeds Ammunition & Research, purchased Bill Eichelberger's remaining inventory and/or the rights to publish Bill's manuals. Might be a good place to inquire.

Bear - Thanks for taking the time to reply, Reeds was the first place I tried and he was out of stock with no ETA on new stock. I'm still hoping there is someone on here that has the book and can get me started with a minimum load. - Rick

Default .14/.221 Eichelberger

I built a .14/.221 Eichelberger awhile back using a 24" 1:7 3 grove barrel from PacNor. Wasn't getting the accuracy I wanted with Reed's 13.0 gr. bullets but with the original 15.0 gr. bullets was getting 1/2" groups at 100 yards. The bullets Reed's currently supplies are .145 diameter with a .1455 pressure ring, I cannot get them to work at all. Am having much more luck with Extreme Accuracy's 15.5 gr. bullets when I can get them.

Here are some loads using H-380 which worked best for me.

Reed’s 13.0 gr. HP - LC
H-380
18.1 gr.

Reed’s 13.0 gr. HP - LC
H-380
18.5 gr.

Reed’s 13.0 gr. HP - LC
H-380
18.9 gr.

Reed’s 13.0 gr. HP - LC
H-380
19.2 gr.

Start at around 17.5 gr. H-380 for the 15.0 gr. bullets.

The above loads are with the original Reed's bullets with a .1435 diameter .144 pressure ring they will be will not be safe with the current .145/.1455 version.

Good luck on your new project.

JOHN
