"oversize" 6.5 mm bullets
Does anyone have access to 0.267" dia. bullets, like the Hornady "Carcano" bullets, now out of print? Heavier weights desired.

Prvi does a 139gr FMJ and a 123gr SP in .258"
Norma does a 150gr and a 156gr bullet in .270" but then you have to get Lee to do you a custom .268" sizer. Or you could consider cast! |

Cast was what I was going to suggest. NOE is running a special with 20% off for the next few days,.

You might be able to get a bump up die and turn .264 bullets into .267 bullets. However .003" might be pushing it. You could talk to a die maker and find out if interested though.

I've been wondering if this was possible. Just purely out of curiosity. I have an AK with a .308 bore and have thought about getting a 308 diameter sizing die to run .310 bullets through. Didn't know you could go the other way though.
You said .003 is a stretch though? I have a Jap arisaka that shoots 264s OK but if I could get them up to 266 for a reasonable price it might be worth it still. I'd be interested in seeing what it does for accuracy. |

When you do come across some let me know. I may want to buy a dozen from you for test loads (if you'll part with them at least)

Definitely possible. You might lose a little accuracy but I doubt you would notice it in a military barrel.
