Marlin Firearms
Has anyone heard the rumor that Ruger has acquired Marlin from Remington?

I had not heard that, but don't think it would be a bad thing.

Ruger had an announcement on the web site a day or two ago. Basically it said they had acquired Marlin and need to get the Marlin tooling to Ruger's production facilities. It closed with "long live lever guns". Personally I'm thinking it will be a better fit than Marlin at Remington.

Just an FYI, but the latest Rifle Magazine, Nov. 2020, No 313, has a fairly long article and history about the 150 years of Marlin. I got it two days ago, so it had to be printed before the announcement.

As a Marlin owner I see a much brighter future for the brand under Ruger ownership. The rest of the Remington assets were scattered to the wind.
