Nice Scope
I thought I would pass along an observation on the off chance some one might find it useful. About a year ago I found myself wanting a different scope for my .222 Rem Martini Cadet. Wanted something with ten to fifteen power for use on ground squirrels, and not too big to overwhelm the little rifle. I was browsing around at Scheels and saw one that looked about right, an Athlon Neos 6-18x44. I almost put it back on the shelf when I saw the dreaded "Made in China". Luckily I looked through in in the store and liked what I saw. Yesterday, after being very satisfied through last season, I was shooting a field which was very uniform mud brown. Brown dirt, brown stubble, and brown squirrels. The little Athlon's color rendition and clarity made shooting a breeze. Price was good too.

I have no experience with the Neos, but maybe a year ago, I bought an Athalon Talos 4x16x40 rifles scope from MidWayUSA. It was on sale for about half price, IIRC, and it looked like it might be worth the price. I have no idea right now what I paid, but it wasn't a lot at the time......
I looked the scope over closely when it arrived and then I put it back in the box. It has never been used. That said, I do remember that the scope seemed to be a good quality scope with very clear optics for the money spent. Maybe I need to get it out and mount it on something.......?? -BCB

I've heard good things, but can't seem to find a fine crosshair version.

Purchased a Athlon Midas Tac last year and it is a great value scope.
