CZ American in .17hmr
This one from 2006, a time when the metal finish and wood were generally as good as anyones, came to me with the Nikon Monarch 6.5-20x with illuminated reticle mounted. I've never fooled with one of those but we'll see, with 20 or so 452 CZ's I somehow didn't have a .17hmr though I do have a 455 FS in .17hmr that is very accurate. This rifle came from my hunting partners collection but I don't recall him ever taking it out and from its looks I don't think its been used much if any.
The .17hmr works well on Ground Hogs without being too noisy, unfortunately we don't have the colony rodents some of you have for sport, our shots usually come in one and twos and a man's in heaven if he sees 3 or 4 in a day. |

My CZs in that cartridge preferred the 20 grain CCIs and Hornadys. Devastation on groundhogs. The Czechs take pride in their work and it shows.
