Default .17 Rem Fireball and feeding in a small Sako?

Does anyone know whether the .17 Rem Fireball will feed in a small Sako 85 action? If a Mach IV or .20 Var Targ will feed in the small 85, then I'm pretty sure the .17 Rem Fireball will also feed since the case lengths are virtually identical and case length is probably the determining factor.

TIA,

Jordan

Default Feed in a small sako

I have a 221 fb custom in a Sako AI. And I had but sold same in a 20 VT. Both fed just fine.
I wouldn’t know why a 17 fb would not work.

I have a .17 Mach IV on a Sako A1 action with Lilja barrel and Canjar trigger. So far as I know, the Mach IV and .17 Fireball are virtually identical. My feeds perfectly.

Length of cartridge isn't the problem

It's the matching of the case taper to the feed rails.

I just learned about that recently after fighting a .243 in an '06
rifle.
