yeah Randy, actually started to rub 4 weeks ago. Only seeing it more and more now.

George, I usually don't shoot factory ammo., but I was given a couple boxes of factory and decided to get it used up since I had lost a few pieces of brass along the way from my reloads.
Snow has been sparse this year with just a couple inches here and there. Getting drier, been dry for a while.
Shot two more this a.m. which puts me at 78 for the season.

Great work TR. Good looking dogs. Great pics and story.
Just for information what is the average $ you guys over in the States get per skin?
Here in Victoria we have a fox bounty, $10.00 per scalp. And $120.00 for wild Dog, must provide strip from nose to all the tail, that includes full scalp. Wild dogs are more of a challenge!!!
.17 hard to beat.
Regards, Jay

I liked watching videos on the wild dog hunting down there, remember seeing a some fancy shooting of a guy shooting like 5 on a stand with a .222rem.

Jay, for the most part the coyotes around my stompin grounds are what the fur buyer grades as "semi-heavy western" and earlier in the prime season the best of them sold for $60./ea. and I'm guessing my avg. for the season will be closer to $30, give or take a few bucks. I sell all mine in the round, or unskinned.

It's still -20 here much of the time. There won't be any rubbing for a couple months. No hunting for them, either. I just can't handle the cold like I used to.

you are correct Jay. I freeze them whole, or "in the round" and the fur buyer comes every other week so I get to empty the freezer and keep after em.

I see you like the Lucky Duck. I'm in the market for a $300 caller. Would you buy it again or is there a Fox Pro I should consider? What is the magnification on your Leupold?
