Default gunsmith?

Bob Green is the only one I have had chamber a rifle for me, so far.

VERY happy. Will use him again. There are a ton of smiths around, and I am sure there are some that specialize in T/C's too.

Default Ott

I have a Encore barrel that started as a 223 and was rechambered into a 22/30-30AI and it was done by OTT. They use a EDM process to re-chamber. There are also others here that have had TC barrels redone by OTT(On Target Technologies).

Default Been there, have the T shirt.

Mark,
For myself, I rechambered a TC barrel to 17 ackley hornet. (I do no gunsmithing work for others.) I see no reason a 17 bee shouldn't work well.

The rechambering job is straight forward & any competent gunsmith should be able to do the job. The only thing to watch is that chips don't get under the extractor & hold it away from the barrel. My 17AH seems to like the 20gr bullets best, but 25gr bullets shoot pretty well.

Regards, Ron

Default Rechambering a 17 HMR to 17 Ackley Bee

Give MGM a call (http://www.matchgrademachine.com/gunshop/home.php), they have rechambered a number of 17 HMR and 17 Mach 2 T/C Contender barrels for me with good results.
