WTB: 17-222 Ammo
I've got a 17-222 that I would like to try out. My dies are on back order.
Looking for some ammo to test it out with. Thanks |

Don't be surprised if nothing happens with this. Crafting ammo for wildcat cartridges pretty much involves tailoring it to the firearm it is to be used in. I can only speak for myself -- if I had that particular caliber, I'd pass.

That's your best bet
I certainly wouldn't shoot anyone's wildcat handloads. Heck I wouldn't shoot anyone's handloads for that matter.

WTB 17-222 Ammo

Plus for anyone to sell you loaded ammo, they need a dealer license, etc to be legal and comply with ATF regulations. I would take the offer of the set of dies, for sale, or wait for the one's you have coming, and reload your ammo. Hard too wait, I know, but for safety of all concerned, that is what you will need too do. Bill K |

Antecedotal Thought
Thanks guys - I appreciate you looking out for each other. I was really more interested in getting my hands on some brass to start building test loads while my brother was visiting from Alaska.
I spent some time tracking down dies in preparation for forming cases (cancelled my MidwayUSA backorder). I climbed into the closet under the stairs to determine status of available brass. A healthy dose of compulsive behavior schooled into me by dad ("Never leave brass on the ground.") combine with catholic guilty ("Don't be wasteful.") has resulted in a "Plethora". I am set for 20VTG and 17-222. Thanks |
