Jim. Give the tri-angle patches a try, they might be what you are looking for. Bill K

Montana Extreme makes the best cleaning rods period end, IMO, & their cleaning products are some of the absolute best. I use a .17 bore guide made of aluminum tubing that a fellow on the internet makes & sells. Works awesome and no leakage at the chamber.

Here you go...

For my CZ527 American 17 HH, using a Possum Hollow machined Delrin bore guide:

I started by swabbing out loose powder residue with a Q-Tip soaked with Hoppes No 9, then scrubbing (10 passes) with a bronze brush soaked with No 9 then swabbing with Q-Tips till clean and dry.

Then scrubbing (10 passes) with a nylon brush soaked with BoreTech CU+2, leaving for 5 mins to activate then swabbing out with Q-Tips till clean and dry.

I've since swapped to a combination of KG-1 Carbon remover and KG-12 Copper remover at the recommendation of a Benchrester friend, and using the same technique they work better for high intensity 17 cal cartridges IMO.

I like using the Q-Tips for 17 Cal cleaning... fast effective and CHEAP
