Update:
My original fire forming loads of 12 grains and a 1/16" jump shoot great. [dogtown 20s] 205m Trying to find a consistent load for the formed case has been a struggle. N120. H4198 and CFE-BLK...........one good group.......second double the size or more. Varied seating depth from +.005 to -.0015............my son suggested -.020. So I tried.............+.010........tighter groups...........then +.015.....even better. The dogtown 20s hit the lands at 1.755......and I have the best results at 1.770". The ES is smaller................and they do eject.......with the bullet. Any way.......fire forming.....12.5gr., DT20, 205m, 1.770" is 3650 fps. ................formed case......12.7gr., ...................1.770" is 3670 fps. Same point of impact .............and under 1/2" group! Info: fire forming with 12.7gr at 1.770= 3757fps.........under 1/2". |

I have been using a Hornady Lock-N-Load Auto Charge Powder Scale with poor results...........with CFE-BLK.
My ole "Dedicated Systems" died after 30 years First off, the scales are leveled "0" The many "over" charges were very annoying! [Very fine powder tends to clump.] Had an idea to raise the front 1/16"............better, but not great. 1/8" is perfect..........the scale slows down at -1/2 grain and slowly feeds the final powder in..........near perfect. This make the trickle tube more level. Just thought I would share some info. |

Just found out that if you use the [mode] button and hold it down to about 1.8, you get the same results.............other than there is no memory and you must set it to 1.8 every time that you use CFE-BLK.............the 1/8" rise requires no reset!

Cfeblk
I tested my first loads with cfeblk in my 17 AH today. I'm pretty impressed with both accuracy velocity and didn't seem to have a pressure problem. It is hard to measure like you said. im anxious to see how the barrel cleans up too.
