I'm curious as to what price retailers might be paying for primers before I'd begin to look only at the retailers as being the problem. Gouging is happening, and it might be in this instance, happening at the distribution level.

Brownells has sold reloading supply's for years. They also have a subsidiary that is a vendor of reloading and firearms. I live 36 miles away, been to new store a few times. Brownells is a large promoter of shooting sports. This is fact. You don't know what your talking about.

I have done business with Brownells for over 40 years and do not recall them selling reloading components until after they acquired Sinclair International.
If they did so be it. I stand corrected.

I can't find it now but I remember this summer powder valley was saying they found like 4 million primers from a commercial reloading company that was for sale and the company wanted like 17 cents a primer. Powder valley turned them down because of the price they would have to turn around and charge to make a profit. Prices for anything have gone through the roof but a lot of it is coming from the increase from the company and not the 3rd party, for the most part, there are gougers out there though, but if you figure the 3rd party is trying to maintain a 7% margin that means a lot of reloading supplies have gone up by about 30% because Federal, CCI, Hornady, etc... has raised prices on things by 20-25%

I am glad I bought in bulk and have enough powder and primers to last my lifetime, the only thing I can use more of is brass and bullets for some of my odd ball stuff.

I've been out of LP's quite awhile.

Last Friday a buddy came down from CO Spgs
and traded 3000 for a like amount of SR's.

That leaves me with ONLY 17,000 SR's now.

That's sure going to limit my loading for the next
10 years or so.

Sure wish PVI had stock when I bought these.
What a shame, they missed out on at least another
$1000 I was wanting to leave them.
