Most all my 17 HH are with 15.5 NTX ( due to our state being lead free on game/non game) over CFE BLK. Near max load and it is accurate and smacks the critters I shoot with it.
CZ527 American rifle.

Loads should be very close to 17AH. I'm using 12.2 1680 with 20 gr vmax

I have two CZ 527 Varmint model 17 Hornets. They're a really fun little gun.

I've tried from 12-12.4gr of 1680 with the 20gr Vmax and 12.2gr is the sweet spot on both of mine. I have friends with the exact same gun as mine and they swear by CFE BLK and the 20gr Vmax. I typically use Federal or CCI primers but I've got a small boat load of Rem 7 1/2's so that's what I use in my two Hornets.

Good Morning, I have a 22" .17 Hornet Barrel for my Contender frames. I shoot this rifle more than any other in my safe. I use Hornady 20 grain V-Max and 12.5 grains of 1680 with CCI 450 Primers when I can find them. I have ample Prairie Dog opportunity to exercise this round often. Great results out to about 250 yards on a rare no wind day. I still have trouble with over shooting the longer range targets.

I use N120 and 20 grain V-max in the .17 AH version.

20 Gr Vmax atop CFE BLK with a CCI BR4 primer. I’m a hair over max so I won’t list the charge weight but it’s easy to find the info on Hodgdon’s website.
