Default mini Mauser

Only one I've fingerprinted was a Charles Daly, struck me as a bit rough. Anyone owned one? Wondering how true the actions are; rough can be fixed.

Are you talking about the original Mauser actions, in mini, or the types of mini mauser style like Howa Mine and others ?
If you are the Howa style, they work very well and are smooth in action and feeding working.

i'm pretty sure he is referring to the ZASTAVA mini mauser. have a friend with one in 6x45 and it slicked up very well and shoots great.
i had one in 17 remmy and it was a tack driver.

I have a couple, one is a 20/222, the other a 222, both started life as 223s, I did have one in 7.62x39 which I converted to 22PPC, they all shoot very well, the barrel and fitting is more important than the action. I do like the small mauser type action, they fit the shorter cartridges perfectly.
Some are a bit rough when you first get them, but with some judicious smoothing with fine emery paper they come up nice. They also have a trigger that is very easy to adjust.

Mine worked just fine after Kevin Weaver was done with it.
