Has anyone that received these fired them in a K Hornet chamber? Just wondering how they formed? Thanks.

My brass is destined for a standard chamber, but I can fire one in a K chamber on my next trip to the range.

RWS 22 hornet bras
I received the RWS brass about a week ago. I finally got around to sorting some of it by weight. After weighing a dozen cases to estimate a median weight I sorted by weight. I chose 56.5 plus or minus .5 gr. as the standard. Approx. 15% were heavier at 57.5 plus or minus .5 and 7% were lighter at 55.5 plus or minus .5 gr. The complete spread was 55 to 58 grains in a 200 piece sample. With this being any number of lot numbers I am very satisfied. All dimensions were as consistent as my ability to measure. There was none of the usual bulge above the web in a fired case. This seems to indicate that they were fired in chambers cut for RWS brass. That measurement was a consistent .294. I have 200 RWS cases that I made into 17 AH approx. 15 years ago and after I figured out that I need to load down due to the internal capacity of RWS brass they have served me well. I have no idea how many times they have been reloaded.
Thanks Ratbuster Rider |
