Armadillos sound like fun shooting. I've had an itch to get an armadillo with a 220 Swift with a 50gr Vmax or NBT at about a hundred yards. Want to see if they roll like a bowling ball or Launch. WD

Default Armadillos

I've got them here on the farm in Northern Oklahoma. Shot them with everything from 22LR to 12 gauge. Shot one a while back at about 75 yards with 25 gr Hornady HP out of a 17 MKIV. No reaction at all! Thought I might have missed and shot again. Still no reaction. Found two entrance holes in the shell about a half inch apart. No exit hole. Inside was mush though.

First one I ever shot many years ago was with a 240 grain jacketed hollow point 44 Mag. out of a Marlin 94 rifle. Now that one was pretty spectacular! Vic

That means you haven't cooked it long enough. Low and slow. Low and slow.

Default Armadillos

Since some of you fellas seem to be a bit confused about the topic of this thread, I changed the subject of my OP to "Armadillos".
