Has anyone compared Barnes varmint grenade to Hornady NTX as far as accuracy and explosiveness.

I have had very good success with the NTX bullets. I don't like to say anything bad about anyone's bullets, but the varmint grenades did not work well for me, out further. However others like them. Bill K

I have never shot the Hornady NTX but I do have a load worked up using the Barnes 36 gr Varmint Grenade and it is deadly. The two coyotes in my avatar were both shot with that caliber and bullet.
I have not shot it longer distance as for that in my Swift I use a heavier bullet. The results for me have been good with no fur damage if bullet hits center mass and it is really accurate. It is not my "go to" bullet for the Swift but I was intrigued enough with it several years ago that I worked up a load for it. |

I tried the Varmint Grenades in both the .222 and .223 Rem and had accuracy issues. The NTX bullets have worked well for me.
