20 Cal bullets
I recently twirled up a 20 VT on a 527.
Its lots of fun. What .204 mid weight projectiles are our aficionados finding to be the best compromise between cost and accuracy? Big Thx in advance for responses. |

We use a lot of 32 grain V-max and are plenty happy with the accuracy we get from them.

Sierra bullets
In both my Kimber and Cooper rifles the Sierra Blitzking give the best accuracy. I use the 32 grain in the 20 VT and the 39 grain in the 204. They may not be the most cost effective but a miss is not because of the lack of accuracy.

Same with my 20VT.

Since I must now use lead free on all game and even non-game animals/critters, I use the Nosler lead free tipped.
Work as well or even better, with the correct load as the lead ones did. |

Like rider above, my 204's and 20VT all run best with SBK's, but because of cost, they primarily see a steady diet of Nosler BT's and VG's. We're still talkin' about 1/4" and under at 100 though in either case. Plenty good enough for the rats here.

Has anyone heard when the SBK's will be made again?

Still using the 1/11 twist in my 20 calibers. It seems too do just fine. Plenty of good accuracy, everyone of them holds in the 1/2 to 3/4 grouping. Critters don't seem to know the difference.

My 20VT shoots 3/8 with the 32 vmax. Wicked performance on 200 yard prairie dogs. I always try vmax first in my 20's because of less cost and better availability. If vmax are not acceptable I go to Sierra and they are usually better groups
