Default Current Manufacture-17HMR

Does anyone one currently make a 17HMR pistol?

Need a last ditch, up close personal defense gun for protection from charging gophers!

This is the only one I am aware of but I have not looked very extensively for a couple years. Taurus tracker 17hmr

S&W used to make the 617 but they only manufactured them for two years. If you keep an eye on the online auction sights you can sometimes pick one up for a reasonable price.

No pistols, just revolvers?

That Ruger SS would work.

Semi autos and the 17HMR don't seem to get along together very well (with a couple of exceptions.) Vic

Well, Anschutz made this handgun in .17 HMR which is "neither fish nor fowl", (Semi-Auto "or" Revolver) . It sure is a hoot though, on near as well as not so near "Skippy attacks" ! Definitely "Anschutz Accurate"!

A gopher hunter of your magnitude needs one a these D and I'll bet their out there to be found on GunBroker.com or GunsAmerica or someplace to boot. When brother Dan C. was hanging around here years back he Purchase Mentored me and a number of others into this one a these as memory serves when CDNN Sports had a boatload of em on sale, I'm so weak....so Very Very weak !

Wasn't Ruger talking .17 HMR Pistol at one point? I was thinking a buddy had one on order for a real long time and it never came to fruition?? I think Vic is on target on the difficulty of Semis and the HMR!!

Wrong again , my buddy had a "KelTec" .22 Mag on order that never showed up, not a Ruger .17 HMR. Jeeze, you oughta see it from in here .

Cricket made a chipmunk hunter single shot in 22 Mag and 17 HMR and may still be in production. Larry

This is for a sit on the front seat stick out the window and shoot the gopher gun, for shooting gopher closer than 10 yards. Not looking for a big gun- i would just drop a barrel on my contender if I wanted that.

Looked at a Taurus today...interesting. 6 inch bbl is good. 7 shots, is an odl

Best deal would would be a S&W K-22 or would that k-17 with 4 inch bbl.

Or even better 4 inch bbl J frame S&W.

Just thinking...
