OT. Takes my breath away
Every once in a great while I stubble across a rifle that just takes my breath away. That happened tonight. This would not be so bad, except that I have a 7x61 S&H 60's vintage where the first 6-8 inches are in sad shape, fire cracking, mines cooper, can feel the difference when cleaning. Shoots around 1 1/2 +/- at a 100. Picked it up from a friend about 6 yrs ago. I have been pondering rebarrel, sell, trade, new rifle- although cartridge choice is booorrring. Could rebarrel and I can stay with the same ctg and Lilja can get close with with this configuration on video. That means $500 just for the barrel, before the GS gets started. But the overall lines, stock, barrel, etc.,................whew. Showed my wife, she was not upset, not happy either, at least it's rated G, and I can talk about it at church on Sundays. Maybe 270WSM, I think I have some brass somewhere. Whada y'all think?
Thanks, Michael http://www.browning.com/products/fir...ne-dealer.html |

You have probably one of the nicest guns ever built. No way I would sell or trade that. Rebarrel in 7x61 of 308 Norma Mag.
New Browning is pretty and may be worth owning too but not at the expense of getting rid of the one you already have. If I was right handed I would own a whole pile of Shultz and Larsen rifles. |

Takes my breath away
After viewing the picture of that Browning, I fully understand the statement, "That's why they don't only make vanilla".
