Default Anyone tried Powder Coated .22 caliber bullets in an AR platform?

Like the title says. Guess it would make sense to not limit the question to gas gun use only.

on a whim I bought 1000 powder coated 60 grain cast pills I am NOT unhappy, I thought about buying a mold and, and, Never mind to much to do already, But they do shoot well from my 22 K hornet, 221 FB and 223 I just keep the velocity 900 to 1800 BlueDot works very well, if I could find some 40 grain would be worth a try too

I read an article on another forum and a guy was running the lee 55gr mold pc'd in an AR. can't recall which powder he ran but I want to say it was slower than normal he was pushing them 2200 and getting 2-3 moa with them and cycling.

here's another https://www.ar15.com/forums/Armory/R...223/42-478834/
