Bullet performance was outstanding. I think the 8 twist is one of the reasons it was so destructive.

Default Debut of the 22 Nosler

Is not twist more to stabilize heavier/longer bullets, than it is to cause the bullet to expand more ? Expansion is more the construction of the bullet, is it not ? What bullet did you shoot on that critter ? Bill K

Bill I have read from numerous places that a bullet at higher rpm will indeed wreak more havoc due to the bullet wanting to come apart bi-directionally.

basically once the bullet starts to distort and fragment the centrifugal force from the high rpm's allow the bullet to fragment both outwards and lengthwise from the momentum of flight.

or at least that is how it was explained to me.

I have noticed that being the case with the 53 Vmax. It seems more destructive out of an 8-9 tiwst than it has been with a 12.

Default my 6.8 mag bad

Stormbringer; My only complaint with my AR 15 22 Nosler is the magazine,

I bought a fairly spendy 6.8 magazine and it is terrible, anyway I was wondering if your mag works well you could tell me what kind it is. Thanks sgtg

Default Magazine

I will check when I get home. I have two both 5 round capacity. Both are reliable in my rifle.

I am also in Utah and you are welcome to try one of mine.

Mike.

Default cheep mags don't do it !!!

Stormbringer; Thank you, I bought an ASC, it's total junk, $20.00 should have known better got it at a local gun shop at the time all I could find.
Midway had no 6.8 mags in stock.

Long story longer I later got a PRI from Midway 15 round $36.00 one and it looks good will shoot it this weekend, fingers crossed.

I have a Black Hole Weaponry 18 inch 22 Nosler in AR with feed problems fixed should be a fun one. sgtg

C Products Defense is the brand 5 shot magazine. I have two and they run like a champ in my rifle.
