Am I going to need an extended case holder for sizing 20VT brass? Planning on Redding Type-S Neck Die and Redding Body Die in a Redding Big Boss II press. Seating will be done on the arbor press. If not, looks like my 204R case holder will work? Thanks

I don't on a rockchucker, don't see why you need one on a Redding

Thanks Chuck. I had no idea but, thought I better start getting things lined up.

I also have a rock chucker and redding dies and use a standard shellholder, the same as my 222/223.

Yes - if you use a body bump die for the VT, you will need an extended shell holder. I bought the bump die and shell holder from Todd @ Woodchuck Den and don't use it. If you are interested - send me a PM.

... for the 20VT to do anything. The body die is nothing but a full length die without the neck sizing part. Indeed, you can use a Redding FL/bushing die without the bushing as a body die.

As far as I know, the only time you need an extended shell holder for a 20VT is when you use a Redding form and trim die.

I use the same dies with a standard shell holder. With Remington .221 Fireball brass, once through the body die reduces the neck and sets the shoulder, and once through the neck die with a .227-inch bushing finishes it. Head space is perfect for my Cooper.
