That is what I say, first on the block, with all the deaths and injuries caused by them, will or could be auto makers. Anyone been injured or had a family member killed in a vehicle accident, now is your chance to make millions, lawyers will be lining up for their share of the profits also..

Something else. Suit basically is against the gun maker, for making and putting out a tool that people were killed with for the general public to buy and use.

It really sets a president for makers of many tools and equipment to be sued now, for a person misusing their product, even in a criminal action.
Think about that, the lawyers and courts in this case against Remington sure did not.

Thanks, Bill. I had not seen the news feeds until just now. The article I just saw was the Sandy Hook suit about the wacko kid who used a Bushmaster AR.

Quite a few years ago congress? passed that laws

protecting makers of such products from these type suits.

What have I missed that lets this one go thru?

There's always been lowyers filing such suits only to be shot down and

the suit rejected. What's changed this time?

Apparently there is a consumer law in Connecticut that provides a legal path around the Federal protection.

As I understand it, it was the insurance companies that threw in the towel. The issue as far as they were concerned was money and had little, if anything, to do with firearms. All they wanted to do was limit their loses.
