I put the smackdown on a weird colored Woodchuck
I got this weird looking light colored woodchuck on the weekend. Her coat even has some light striping in it. I have never seen that before. I am ashamed to admit that I shot it at 100 yds. with my Cooper 21 VE 17 Remington. I did get another later at about 209 yds., and even that felt like cheating.

Pretty soon I am going to watch them all in reverse order so that I can watch those F Class guys GO HOME and leave us alone so that we can shoot Highpower Rifle. |

Interesting colour indeed. I can understand the 'guilt' at those close shots with such a ctg. LOL You do have to take then when they present themselves, thou. with what you have at the time. It's the law!

you are so right Daryl seem like I always have what I think is the wrong rifle for the situation.
Shot a large bobcat at 75 yards with a 243 and 55 gr balistictips doing 4000+ fps. shot it in the soft spot just under the chin. I was sure I had blown both his back legs off but when I retrieved him I couldn't find the bullet hole. on the way back to the truck a few drops of blood appeared in the center of the chest. A year later while calling for another even larger Bobcat came rimming in to the call. this time I had a 22 mag in my hands and felt I was under gunned. put one thru both lungs and watched the cat disappear behind a mesquite clump. thought to myself this is going to be a long track job. that said when I went to where I had last seen the cat and looked up, there it was 15 yards away. the cat died in midstride and went face first into a large clump of bunch grass. both cats are on my wall and I swear they watch me wherever I go.
